Several months ago I went to a CORE training. Youth Specialties helped me be more aware of the fact that todays teens are indeed hurting. Some are are cutting – until then I didn’t know that teens are cutting to live and not to die. Others are hurting themselves by not eating. That is because the media defines beauty in such a way that it is impossible to archive. This video published by DOVE in their “Campaign for Beauty” provides some insight about what happens behind the scenes. Can diets really compete with Photoshop?
God made everyone unique. I like to picture God taking time to choose the color of my eyes, then the color of my hair and every other aspect of my being. Every time I think about this Psalm 139 comes to my mind.
