See You At The Pole – Excitement And Courage

Posted on 24 September 2008 by Radu

Today was SYATP (See You At The Pole). I must say I was very encouraged by the excitement and the courage of all the Christian students I was around today. It takes courage to stand in front of your school, holding hands with others who love God and who want to pray for their school. It takes courage to disregard the eyes looking on and wondering what this relatively small group of kids is doing. It takes courage to stand there and pray aloud. It takes courage to later on tell those who ask you about what you did around the flagpole.

Christian students are excited about their faith and they want to make a difference in their schools.

Today, I was encouraged by the students. Their presence, courage, and excitement made my day.

Barna Research reports there are 24 million teens in the U.S., and more than half attend a church on a weekly basis. 75% of teens discuss matters of faith with their peers. 33% of U.S. young people are members of Christian clubs at their high schools and colleges.

Are you excited about your faith? Are you brave enough to let others know about the hope that is in you?
