]]> Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) can now be downloaded and installed from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx The good news is that Windows7 RC will be available at least through July 2009 and Microsoft is not limiting the number of product keys. Also it is important to know that Windows7 RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. ]]> What would you do if you saw an image if Jesus Christ or Mary in your food? Strange question, isn’t it? A youtube video shows what some people found in their food, on some rocks, trees and even in a dirty sink. Real or not these images have stirred the media.

How do we know if any of these images are Jesus or Mary? We do not have any photos of Jesus. Bottom line… is it really that important that we have these images?

This video could be used in a bible study on John 20: 24-29

24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

29Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

]]> Last weekend we went to Planet Wisdom Conference in Denver. It was a weekend full of snow… biggest snow storm of 2009. However, we decided to go. It was such a blessing. Loved the content and the approach. Both Dutton and the Skit Guys did a great job. Our students loved the depth of the teaching.

]]> Last week I had the joy of going on a mission trip to Chiapas Mexico. Our church (Redeemer Baptist Church) is supporting a missionary family who is working with the people of Chol- descendants of Maya. The Terrells have a fantastic ministry in the area. This summer we are planning on taking a group of HS students to Chiapas to help Nathan Terrell and his wife Julie in their ministry. To find out more about the Terrells ministry go HERE.

After we ministered to the Chol people from Tortuguero, we decided to stop at Palengue to visit the Mayan ruins. It was impressive! Those interested in more details about the Maya civilization can find multiple articles online. A short and very informative article can be found HERE.

]]> Here si a simple yet very funny game for youth groups. Our youth loved this game… make sure you watch the video. :)

You will need two teams. Each team will have 2 players.

What you will need for this game: baby foos – 2 jars, 2 spoons, 2 bandanas , 4 chairs and plastic to cover the floor (and the players – optional).

Once the players are blindfolded and sited, hand the baby food to player one who will serve it to player two . Player two will have to eat it without his hands. First team to finish wins. make sure they do not spit, but swallow the food.
