Who would have thought that we would see snow in mid May? I just hope that the tree flowers will somehow survive. These photos say it all.

Brand New Hubble Photo

Yesterday, Nasa released a brand new Hubble photo of a small portion of one of the largest seen star-birth regions in the galaxy, the Carina Nebula. Towers of cool hydrogen laced with dust rise from the wall of the nebula. The scene is reminiscent of Hubble’s classic “Pillars of Creation” photo from 1995, but is even more striking in appearance. The image captures the top of a three-light-year-tall pillar of gas and dust that is being eaten away by the brilliant light from nearby bright stars. The pillar is also being pushed apart from within, as infant stars buried inside it fire off jets of gas that can be seen streaming from towering peaks like arrows sailing through the air. As I was preparing a flyer for our Valentine Party (Italian Theme) I needed a Red and White Checkered Table Cloth photo. After a little search on the internet I found few options. The good photos were sold for a certain price. So, I decided to shoot some photos for my purposes. They are posted below and if you need any of them, you can use them for free.

Denver Broncos 50 Seasons Logo on Coke Can

Denver Broncos will remember this year for at least three reasons:
a) They are celebrating their 50 seasons of football. That being the reason why they are wearing the original uniforms.
b) They have a new and young coach – Josh McDaniels
c) It has been a long time since they were 6-3 at this point in the season

But this is not the reason why I am writing. This post is here because I recently purchased a new lens for my Nikon camera and I while I was playing with it I took a photo of a coke can with the Denver Broncos 50 years anniversary. You can see the photo below!

It is somewhat strange to find both flowers and snow on the same tree at the same time… That is unless you live in Colorado ) On my way to the office I stopped to take these photos… they are really cool… and they remind me of a passage of scripture from 2 Timothy 4:2 (Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; …with great patience and careful instruction.”)

Maya Civilization – Photos from Palengue

Last week I had the joy of going on a mission trip to Chiapas Mexico. Our church (Redeemer Baptist Church) is supporting a missionary family who is working with the people of Chol- descendants of Maya. The Terrells have a fantastic ministry in the area. This summer we are planning on taking a group of HS students to Chiapas to help Nathan Terrell and his wife Julie in their ministry. To find out more about the Terrells ministry go HERE.

After we ministered to the Chol people from Tortuguero, we decided to stop at Palengue to visit the Mayan ruins. It was impressive! Those interested in more details about the Maya civilization can find multiple articles online. A short and very informative article can be found HERE.

Ultrasound Shows It's a Boy

I am so excited! We will have a baby boy! Watching the ultrasound and seeing all the parts of our baby boy was an amazing experience. Thank you Lord for the miracle of technology! Following are two pictures of the boy:)))

Ice Sculptures From Breckenridge

Last February I had the joy of going to Breckenridge Colorado with soe friends. Among other fun things like sledding, we decided to go see the ice sculptures. About two weeks before Christmas 2008 I received amazing news… “I will be a daddy”. I am so excited! Can’t wait to meet our baby!

Last week we went to the doctor and we were able to see our baby on a ultrasound machine. Below is a photo of the Baby Pasca at 10 weeks.
