Few weeks ago, in a conversation I had with some friends, we talked about the necessity of finding new ways to share the salvation offered by God through Jesus Christ. In our conversation, we concluded that sometimes people are more comfortable talking about their faith in a non-threatening way.
The idea of sharing the Gospel in chat rooms on the internet popped out. Could it be that some adults and/or youth would feel more comfortable talking about Jesus while hiding behind a screen name? Possible. Certainly, this is a way to do it and it may work. If someone is inclined to share the gospel of Christ this way I suggest you find one or more people and do it together. That way you can bounce ideas, come up with a better answer and at the same time keep each other accountable.
On the other hand, internet can be dangerous and I am a little nervous pushing young people to engage in conversations with whoever is online.
Wonder what you think about this idea…
